PAISLEY'S BOHO CHIC UNICORN THEMED 3RD BIRTHDAY

Unicorns. Everything is Unicorns with Paisley. And I honestly don't mind it at all.

I always knew that I wanted her 3rd birthday to be the most magical since 3 is my and Jessie's favorite number -- yeah, we're cheesy like that. So when it was time to come up with the theme for her 3rd Birthday party, it was a no brainer. Paisley had an obsession with anything Unicorn or My little Pony, and I mean what's more magical than Unicorns, right??? Our complex has a great pool and we're able to rent out the cabana for 30 guests which was perfect since Paisley can be a little shy when it comes to really large crowds. So, Unicorn Themed Pool Party it is! I wanted it to be a little more off the beaten path from your typical rainbow pastel unicorn party. So I mixed in different style elements to create a Boho Chic Unicorn Themed Party -- YIPEE.

First I started off with her invitations, which I designed myself on photoshop -- hayyyy. That's where I came up with the overall color scheme. And from there I kept the ball rolling by adding in different style elements to make for an eclectic and unique theme. The great thing about having a smaller / intimate sized party is that it allowed us to include all those special details I envisioned for her special day. From the black n white striped teepee for storing gifts, to the boho tissue paper tassels, to the hand crafted cake table backdrop that my amazing hubby helped me put together from pallets we got for free from our friend (thanks Ryan!), to the adorable pots we painted and filled with succulents, to the amazing macrame / floral backdrop I designed for the Photo Booth, to the amazing boho themed kids table with their own personalized unicorn goodie bags, to the amazing unicorn piñata that I made over from an horse piñata I found at party city (whoop whoop), to the unicorn headband making station, and the unicorn ice cream bar... Everything turned out perfect! There was a lot of DIY, some stuff that I've already had on had from my wedding and from previous parties, home decor, etc... And then there were some new purchases. My hubby may not have agreed with some of the purchases I made at the time (lol), but once he saw how everything came together, he totally loved it. Most of all, my sweet little Unicorn LOVED it... especially the cookies at the sweets table.

...And you know I had to take photos myself. Lol. It's my J A M. The photos that I'm in I must credit to my amazing husband, and my best gal pal Jocelyn.
